Traditionally, a gathering is held to honor all Law Enforcement Officers who gave their lives while serving citizens of New Jersey.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fallen Officers will be honored in a different way by the NJSACOP. Beginning today, the organization will post the names of every fallen Officer recorded in New Jersey on its Twitter and Facebook pages.
The postings will begin with the year 1854, the first year that New Jersey recorded a line-of-duty death of a Law Enforcement Officer, and run up until the date of May 15, 2019.
The NJSACOP asks that all New Jersey Law Enforcement Officer pause for a moment of silence to remember the fallen this Friday, May 15, at 10 a.m.
